Delete old tweets that no longer show on your profile

Short answer

Request your archive in X (Settings and privacy → Your account → Download an archive of your data). When it arrives, open the data folder and give tweets.js to Erasion: it opens each old tweet directly and deletes it, without scrolling your profile.

Why old tweets are hard to reach

X loads only part of your history on the profile, so years-old tweets may never appear no matter how far you scroll.

Get your X archive

  1. In X go to Settings and privacy → Your account → Download an archive of your data.
  2. Confirm your identity. X sends a link when the archive is ready, usually within a day.
  3. Unzip it. The file you need is data/tweets.js (and data/like.js for likes).

Delete with Erasion

  1. Open Clean up → Delete tweets, choose From X archive and pick tweets.js.
  2. Choose the tab (Tweets, Replies, Retweets or Media) and add dates or keywords.
  3. Press Preview, tick the confirmation and start.

The archive is read in your browser and never uploaded. Tweets already gone are skipped and not charged.

Questions

Is the archive upload safe?

Nothing is uploaded. Erasion reads the file in your browser and only keeps the tweet IDs it needs.

My archive is large. Is that a problem?

No. Erasion reads only the list of tweets from tweets.js.
